Everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to live. Susan has worked hard to increase the supply of deeply affordable housing and protect renters.
-
Allocated Measure A dollars to create more than 5,000 new affordable housing units across 56 projects in 10 cities throughout the County housing more than 17,000 residents, including housing for foster youth, older adults and individuals with disabilities.
-
Secured rental assistance and eviction prevention programs to help thousands of families stay in their homes.
- Expanded supportive services, including mental health and substance use treatment, to help individuals successfully return to permanent housing
Next, Susan will:
- Strengthen homelessness prevention programs to prevent unstably housed individuals and families from becoming homeless.
- Identify private and public partners to complete the construction of nine remaining Measure A-funded projects
- Advocate for local, state and federal investments in deeply affordable and supportive housing solutions.
